On the occasion of her exhibition “Technicolor: a)Feld, b) Fläche at Kunstverein Marburg, Madeleine Boschan designed the invitation card structured like a chromatic chart: fields of Black, White, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Cyan, Magenta, Yellow — the very colours defining the large-scale sculptures in the exhibition. The edition consists of eight photographic works. Each image shows the invitation card held by the artist and positioned in front of a sculpture lacquered in the corresponding hue. The card aligns with the object — and subtly diverges from it.

Colour meets colour. Surface meets volume. Gesture meets structure.

What appears identical shifts in relation. Colour reveals itself through proximity, scale, light, and the body that positions it.

The edition, edited by Harpune Verlag, Vienna, is sold out. It remains a precise document of Boschan’s ongoing investigation of colour as a relational system rather than an isolated entity.
